DescriptionA corner cupboard in one piece with canted front corners. A wide cornice sits above an arched fielded panel door with a brass escutcheon on the left. A waist molding divides the cupboard's upper and lower sections. The lower section includes a single plain drawer with thumbnail molded edges and a small oval brass escutcheon above a square fielded panel door, applied skirt molding, two front ogee bracket feet, and a rear plank foot. The upper thumbnail molded door opens to reveal an interior with three fixed shelves, while the lower door, also thumbnail molded and paneled, opens to reveal a single fixed shelf.
Curatorial RemarksThe Germanic style hinges on the corner cupboard suggest an eastern Pennsylvania origin.
