Curatorial RemarksOngoing research has uncovered a newspaper article regarding Madame Annette, milliner, whose business suffered a serious blow on December 31, 1915, when her building and stock, valued at $45,000 was completely destroyed by a serious fire. At that time, her establishment was in Hempstead at Main and Front Streets.
