DescriptionThis tea table features a circular top with a dish-molded edge over a birdcage support with a small brass spring latch fixed to the underside, allowing table top to swivel as well as tilt vertically for storage. The table top and birdcage assembly fits over a dowel post atop a robust turned baluster pedestal above three cabriole legs ending in pad or "snake" feet. The shape of the baluster is imitated in the four corner posts of the birdcage.

Curatorial RemarksThe tea table was made in Eastern Pennsylvania or the Delaware Valley
