DescriptionThis chair features a bow back, with seven plain turned spindles passing through a bent arm rail. The chair's arm rests end in scrolled knuckle terminals that are supported by raked baluster turned posts. The ovoid saddle seat rests atop four splayed baluster turned legs braced with a bulbous turned H-shaped stretcher assembly. The chair retains an old black finish over an earlier red coat of paint.
NotesMrs. J. Amory Haskell apparently acquired this chair in November 1935 from an antiques dealer whose last name was Lawshe.
